I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am ME♥

Buwis buhay experience |NSTP-CWTS|

9/17/11

The night before the scheduled fieldwork(tree planting at Tanay,Rizal). I went to mall to go shopping and buy stuff(FOOOODDD!!) for the NSTP. since me and my friend talked about food trippin’ while on the bus.(but eventually i was the one who ate mostly of the food since he was a diet and i was being my self “matakaw” haha)

9/18/11

Call time: 7:00 am at UST

i woke up at around 4:30 to prepare my things and cooked my lunch(which i forgot to bring with me,stupid me)

i arrived at UST at 6:30. good thing i was there early since i forgot to bring my lunch. i bought lunch at Mcdo instead before leaving since the the facilitator said that there is no store there where we could buy lunch.

we left for Tanay,Rizal at around 8:30-9:00 and we arrived at 11:00

me: “tignan mo oh! ang taas bundok tapos medyo kalbo na.”

friend:”onga.di naman siguro tayo dyan pupunta.masyado matatarik”

BUT ACTUALLY, THAT WAS THE PLACE!

So our adventure starts.

Preparing and putting on our gloves.

with our seedlings. yup. we carried those while hiking.

so stupid of me for not wearing rubber shoes. we it was rubber, but not rubber-shoes :))

those happy faces turned into haggard faces.

this is the starting ppoint of the hiking. (bottom of the mountiain-which they call as mount everest of the philippines!!! haha)

WE LOOK LIKE ANTS! its was sooooooo steep and slippery!

AND NO, THE TOP OF THAT HILL WASN’T THE END. THIS WAS JUST 1/16 OF THE TRIP!!!! YES. VEEEERY TIRING.

but the view was great!

After 2 hours of hiking, we reached the top and started planting.

no, we’re not maarte, alcohol is really needed coz of all that mud, thorns and bruises in your body.

and another 2 hours of going down. it was too slippery and steep that you have slide your butt to go down safely.

it was 2:30 when we reached the bus. we were all so sweaty, muddy and HUNGRY!

but before eating we went to the batis to cool off and change. it was sooo amazing!

see what i mean? :”>

then we changed, and ATE A LOOOOOOOOT!

we left Tanay at around 4:30 pm. and arrived at UST at 6:30-7:00 pm.

The fieldwork was so tiring yet fun.

SO PLEASE DON’T WASTE PAPER! I TELL YOU, PLANTING TREES IS NOT A JOKE!!!!! :)
